主讲人介绍：

Dr. Karen Swabey is the Head of School and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education in University of Tasmania, Australia. Dr. Swabey got her Ph. D. in University of Queensland in 2006, and her Ph. D. topic is The 1992 Australian Senate Inquiry into Physical and Sport Education: Representations of the Field.

As the Head of School, Dr. Swabey’s role involves building reputation, attracting and energising people, facilitating the culture and environment, building a resource base, and interacting with communities of interest related to the Faculty. She also works closely with the Dean to ensure all aspects of managing the School are operationalised.

In addition to this administrative role, Dr. Swabey currently lectures to postgraduate students in the Master of Education degree. She also undertakes research and consultancies, writes papers, presents papers at conferences and supervises students enrolled in Honours, Masters, Ed. D. and Ph. D. programs.
